Schools Championships 2020 – entries open!

The entry forms for the England Boxing National Schools Championships 2020 – for Schools Cadet (born in 2008), Schools A (born in 2007) and Schools B (born in 2006) – have now been released.
Entry weights are from Under 30kg up to Under 90kg (Male Schools), from Under 29kg to Under 70kg (Female Schools) and from Under 28kg to Under 72kg (Male and Female Schools Cadets, formerly Minors). Entrants must have had two previous bouts on entry.
Closing dates for receiving entries are set by regional associations, but all entries must be with the Championship co-ordinator by 26th April.
The pre quarter-finals are to be completed by 3rd May with Yorkshire to box off against Midland Counties, Merseyside and Cheshire against the North West and Eastern Counties against Western Counties.
Quarter-final bouts, to be completed by 10th May, will see East Midlands boxers take on those from Yorkshire/Midlands Counties, Tyne, Tees and Wear paired with Merseyside and Cheshire/North West, London face Eastern/Western Counties and Home Counties go head to head with Southern Counties.
The national semi-finals and finals stages of the event will take place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May.
In all categories, a boxer’s BCR1 medical book must be produced at the initial weigh-in and at all subsequent rounds, and the boxer’s medical must be in date for the duration of the championship. All boxers must be members of an England Boxing-affiliated club.
