Applications Open for Women’s Official Development Programme 2025

Applications for the 2025 cohort are now open! The 12-month project will help support several female officials in their development and progression over the coming year. 

We are excited to announce that this year’s programme will be led by 3* Referee and Judge and Grade B Supervisor Geoff Cannell.  

“It’s brilliant to have Geoff on board” said W&G Officer Laura Sargeant “He has a wealth of knowledge he wants to pass down, he’s officiated all over the world and is one, if not the, top official in the country, I couldn’t think of anyone better suited to the role!”  

Geoff will be supported by Mentors: Selena Fox, Nataliia Moroz, Suzanne Walters, Katie Hardwick and Abigail Lang and for the first time, the programme will feature extra support mentors in Dee Cowey, Tracy Windsor and Katherine Clifford who will act as a valuable aid for all mentors and candidates. 

The programme will consist of face to face, virtual and 1:1 meetings throughout the year, with Individual Development Plans to form the direction of key developmental areas for each official. 

Practical elements will be organised and delivered in partnerships with England Boxing, regional associations and invitations to shadow and/or participate in England Boxing Championships.

• Name, region and registered club. 

• Current England Boxing Officials’ Grade (Please note the minimum requirement is a Grade C Judge.)
