The England Boxing Cost of Living Crisis Fund – supported by Revolut, the UK’s fastest-growing fintech company – is supporting 28 clubs to the tune of £25,000, with Buxton ABC one of those clubs.

Buxton ABC, part of the England Boxing geographical region of East Midlands, prides itself on the high participation by its local community.

The core objective of the club, in fact, is, ‘the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular for the inhabitants of the Buxton and High Peak area, by the provision of facilities for amateur boxing and fitness training.’

After 40 years, Buxton ABC is seeking to move to more suitable premises which, while important for the long-term success of the club, is imposing an additional financial strain in the here and now.

The financial support provided by the England Boxing Cost of Living Crisis Fund, supported by Revolut, has helped the club focus their funds on moving premises and maintaining its ability to develop and serve the local community.

Ciaran Broomhead, head coach and honourary secretary of Buxton ABC emphasised the importance of funding campaigns such as this one.

“England Boxing funding has been a huge help, as we move premises and cope with the cost of living increases.

“Small clubs, like Buxton ABC, appreciate any support they receive which always them to continue to offer services to the local community.”
