What does membership include?
Competitions
As a member of England Boxing, you are a part of the only national governing body for Olympic-style boxing in England.
Our members can take part in our national championships, which cover age groups from Schools and Juniors through to Youth and Elite boxers. Our national championships are a stepping stone for athletes with potential, and can lead to places on the England Talent Pathway and, ultimately, with GB Boxing.
We also run many other regular competitions, including events for boxers with less experience, who would like the opportunity to compete and to challenge, at regular venues including London’s historic York Hall.
Members of England Boxing can also take part in international events held by the European Boxing Federation (EUBC) and AIBA. This includes European and World Championships, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
Only fully-registered members of England Boxing can take part in these competitions.
Funding
England Boxing clubs can take advantage of the many funding opportunities which are available to help with support and development of your club, or yourself as an athlete. You will often be asked to provide potential funder with your club registration number.
You also have access to a regional club support officer, who can advise you on different types of available funding and guide you through the application process.
Insurance
As a member of England Boxing, you are covered for boxing activity in your club, or at competitions, by our insurance policy. You can find out more about what is covered on insurance in the knowledge base section of the Vault.
England Boxing provides all of its clubs with a copy of their insurance policy for that season in November of each year. You can find out more about this insurance, and who to contact for more information, below.
Our insurance also covers boxing activity for clubs travelling to train and compete with clubs of, or at events held by, other national federations. To ensure you are covered, visit the boxing abroad section of our website.
