Sad passing of Phoenix ABC chairman

England Boxing has been sad to learn of the passing of Phoenix ABC chairman Geoff Howell at the age of 86.
Geoff has been a ‘massive servant’ to amateur boxing not just with the Nottingham-based club, but also to Midlands and East Midlands boxing.
Club officials said he was still in the gym last week taking subs and having a chat and laugh with all members.
A club statement said: “God bless you Geoff and thank you for everything. Some People will never know how much you did for Phoenix and amateur boxing.
“All our love is with your friends and family. RIP mate.”
