England Boxing is pleased to announce the athletes who have qualified to compete at next month’s Youth & Junior GB Three Nations, scheduled to be held at the Sports Wales National Centre in Cardiff from June 7th-9th.

The event will feature a diverse group of boxers, with 21 competitors in the Junior category and 19 in the Youth division, representing various regions and backgrounds. The Three Lions will arrive in Wales’ capital on Friday 7th June, with boxing taking place on the 8th and 9th June.

Among the participants is Ruby White (Sturminster Newton ABC), someone who is no stranger when it comes to success at this tournament. She shared her excitement, saying, “I’m looking forward to becoming a three-time Tri-Nation Champion and securing that gold medal again.

Being part of the England Programme means the world to me. Having access to top-notch coaches helps me improve my game and aim for GB and the Olympics. Winning in my England gear is always such an honour; it feels amazing to represent my country.”

On the other hand, Tyika Thomas (Andersons) is preparing for her England debut. She expressed her anticipation, stating, “This is my first time representing the country, and I can’t wait to get in the ring.

Although I might be slightly nervous on the day, I know I’ll have the support of my family, teammates, and everyone back home and at my club. That support will motivate me to perform my best and hopefully bring back gold.”

This will be the first of three events that will take place throughout June, with England hosting the Schools GB Three Nations at David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham and the Seniors competing in Scotland between 21st-23rd June.

North East based Youth fighter, Divine Omojor (Tyneside ABC) is also looking forward to learning from the experience ahead, “My ultimate aim is to come out being the best boxer and athlete I can be and to absorb as much as I can, take it all in and put my skills to use in the future.

It means a lot being on the programme, I’ve worked hard to get here and being able to learn from my peers is a great thing.”
