The participants had faced a rigorous 12-month assessment period which included online tasks, peer reviews and face-to-face deliveries and assessments.

The course aimed to compare new coaching theories with traditional methods of coaching, whilst challenging the graduates to assess their practical demonstrations and acknowledge how they could improve.

Each task stretched and challenged the cohort’s understanding of their tactical knowledge and how to apply it practically.

England Boxing would like to thank the graduates as well as the tutors; Laura Sargeant, Jon Dennis, Alan Keast, Steve Cranston and Adam Haniver. The tutors travelled to gyms across the country to observe and assess the graduates’ coaching practices within their coaching environments.

England Boxing’s Workforce Development Manager Sarah Collings-Hands added, “The Level 3 Senior Coaching Programme is a culmination of years of work, and, over the last 12 months, these coaches have shown outstanding commitment to a rigorous programme of tasks and learning.

“It is fantastic to now have them out in our community sharing their learning and supporting others on the same journey. The timeline from application to graduation spans almost two years and everyone involved in this programme is to be congratulated on their commitment to England Boxing.”
