As part of its focus on Clean Sport/Anti-Doping, the England Boxing board published its annual overview of Clean Sport/Anti-Doping activity for the past year.
The report highlights the various anti-doping activities that have taken place during the year and points to the determination to have a rounded approach, based on improving awareness, providing more information and education about the subject.
At the same time, there is a commitment to test boxers, as the six tests at the nationals show, as well as real commitment to work closely with UK Anti-Doping and other bodies in maintaining the very highest clean sport standards in boxing.
Ryan Vickers, the director on the board with responsibility for Clean Sport, said: “We have a real opportunity to show the true values of our sport in how we approach Clean Sport/Anti-Doping. England Boxing is committed to maintaining the high reputation that we have.
We will continue to work hard with all of our members in this area.”
