England Boxing would like to update clubs in West Yorkshire following confirmation it is to move into the very high / tier 3 Coronavirus alert level, with new restrictions taking effect from 00.01am on Monday (2nd November).

The area joins Liverpool City Region, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire, Warrington and Nottinghamshire in being placed under the government’s highest alert level.

Both adults and under-18s can continue to train indoors in clubs located in all of the listed areas, including West Yorkshire, providing England Boxing guidelines are observed and clubs ensure there is no mixing of households (i.e boxers must train and exercise individually with no group exercises and arrive and leave the gym separately).

For the avoidance of doubt, pad work, sparring or competitive boxing is not permitted.

Any additional changes or clarifications will be communicated directly with clubs and via the England Boxing website and social media platforms.
