The England Boxing Cost of Living Crisis Fund – supported by Revolut, the UK’s fastest-growing fintech company – is supporting 28 clubs to the tune of £25,000. H Hour Boxing as just are one of those to benefit…

Established in 2014, H Hour Boxing provides boxing and fitness sessions for various age groups.

The Harrogate-based club works with local schools, and the police (young offenders/probation service etc) and they also have strong ties with UK armed forces units.

H Hour regularly raises money for local charities as well as the national armed forces charities.

The Yorkshire Region club requested assistance from the Clubs in Crisis Fund for help with rent and utility costs.

The funding was needed to assist with the rising cost of living, as utility bills were rising exponentially, and had not been budgeted for by the club.

“Without the assistance from the fund we were looking at a financial problem for the club, with the rising cost of living, people are being very careful how they spend their money,” said Rob Smith, Head Coach and Club Secretary.

“As a club, we have not increased our subs, as we don’t want to put our participants off coming to the gym and training. It is a hard balancing act… thank you to the Cost of Living Crisis Fund and Revolut for helping us.”
