Chairman of Cornwall Boxing Wayne Salmon made a short speech to the 400 spectators about the background to the show.
The final results was Cornwall 5 Devon 5 with Cornwall keeping the Trophy for the year.
Salmon said: “Overall the boxing was a spectacle both teams giving their all. The trophy was handed back to myself Danny’s mother to keep for a year. It is now in the safe hands of Bodmin coach Mr Denis Crosby who was Danny’s coach from day one. Many thanks to the Devon boxers for their contribution to this very special emotional event. Cornwall boxing succeeded in keeping Danny’s name going.
