England boxing statement
March 30, 2022 | by Matt Halfpenny
England Boxing would like to remind all members, affiliated clubs, coaches and spectators that inappropriate behaviour and violence will not be tolerated during any activities under our auspices.
In addition to being referred to the police for criminal proceedings, matters will be investigated through our disciplinary procedures which could lead to suspension and potential banning of individuals and clubs from partaking in any further England Boxing affiliated/licensed activities.
“England Boxing takes such matters very seriously and any inappropriate behaviour and conduct will not be tolerated,” said Interim Chief Executive Officer, Charlie Ford.
“Moreover, we are all working hard in the sport to increase participation, improve clubs and coaching standards and, ultimately, through competitions and events, provide an opportunity for the stars of tomorrow to showcase their talents.
“We encourage everyone in the boxing community to play their part in stamping out inappropriate behaviour that could harm the progress that we are all trying to make in the sport.”
