England duo claim silvers in Madrid

England finished with two silver medals at the EUBC European Women’s Championships 2019 in Madrid, Spain.

Boxing first, New Astley’s Demie-Jade Resztan took on Russian Iuliia Chumgalakova at 48kg but lost out via a unanimous 5-0 decision.

And it was the same result at 57kg where the Army’s Karriss Artingstall was beaten 5-0 by Italy’s Irma Testa.

Nevertheless, both boxers can reflect with pride on a set of fantastic performances that saw them claim second spot on the podium.
