England Schools Euros 2023 preparations continue in Tamworth

Team England’s squad for the EUBC Schools European Championships 2023 descended on Tamworth Boxing Club this past weekend, for their second preparation camp ahead of the European competition in Slovenia next month.
The 22-strong squad combined at the Staffordshire gym for the second of four preparation camps ahead of flying out to the Balkan peninsula.
As well as working on typical boxing drills and techniques, the squad took part in team-building exercises, and video analysis sessions and spent time watching and supporting England’s Junior European squad, who are currently competing in the EUBC Junior European Championships in Romania.
The weekend was rounded off with gym bouts for every member of the squad, with England Boxing-affiliated clubs and boxers from across the country attending to offer tough competition for the Young Lions and aid their prep.
England Performance Lead National Coach Amanda Coulson said: “We’d like to thank all visiting clubs and boxers for taking the time to make the journey to Tamworth and for contributing to this Schools team’s European preparations.”
England’s Schools Euros squad will reconvene at South Wye Boxing Club on the weekend of 5th – 6th August 2023 for their next preparation camp.
