Provisional England squad for Nations Cup in Serbia

England has put together a strong squad for the Ninth Nations Cup for Women in Sombor, Serbia following Saturday’s prep camp at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Those selected have been asked to attend an additional training camp this Saturday 11th January, between 1pm and 4pm at the same venue.

At this, the England coaches will be assessing all boxers’ attitude, condition, performance and weight management, before making a final decision about the team that will travel to Serbia.

The Three Lions are set to enter competitors in the Schools, Junior and Youth sections in Eastern Europe, including a number of boxers who won EUBC European Championship medals last year.

The England team will depart for Serbia on Monday 13th January, returning on Tuesday 21st January.

Entries check is on 14th January, the official Draw and weigh-in on 15th January,  preliminaries on 16th and 17th January, quarter-finals on 18th January, semi-finals on 19th January and finals on 20th January.

Those selected are reminded to bring their Passport, BCR1, completed and signed parental consent form, kit, training gear, boots, warm up gloves, hand wraps, gum shield, skipping rope, head guard and protector.

The coaching staff in Serbia will be made up by Mick Driscoll, Amanda Coulson and Rachel Bower, while the R&J will be Chris Anderson.
