Former World Champion joins Western Counties’ Zoom call

Former World champion, Olympian and now GB Coach Alan Vaughn recently joined Western Counties coaches, officials and boxers on Zoom to talk about his career experiences.

Organised by Mike Hemming and Craig Turner, all registered England Boxing members from across the region were invited to log on and attend.

Those that did so were not disappointed as Alan discussed all aspects of his extensive career, from starting out as a 10-year-old lad right though to being crowned World Champion and representing GB in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

All those listening in felt privileged to hear his story, which was told with honesty, humility and humour.

Western Counties are holding another Zoom call next week where England Development Coach Amanda Coulson is guesting to talk about her career and a boxer and then coach.
