New discounts for families and repeat spectators at major England Boxing events

England Boxing has introduced new multi-person and multi-day tickets to make watching National Championships more affordable for families and repeat spectators.

It was announced in February that, after a sharp rise in inflation, a number of fees, charges and prices would be changing from April 2023 to protect the standard of services and ensure the operation did not run at a significant loss.

Among those new prices were for tickets to watch England Boxing competitions, with a first increase for several years.

Following feedback from the Membership, England Boxing has bid to limit the impact of those rises for groups and those attending multiple-day tournaments, who would otherwise face extra cost.

Starting from England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2023 Finals Day on Saturday (22nd April), a family ticket for two adults and two children will be available, either for just one-day event or for multiple days, resulting in savings of £10 and £50.

Individual discounts for adult, Junior (16 and under) and senior (60 and over) tickets are also available on two-day and three-day tickets (such as the Youth Championships), where a saving of between £2 and £13.50 can be secured.

Children aged five and under continue to be admitted for free.

Please note that tickets are not transferrable between different Championship events and can only be used at the specific event where purchased. Once purchased, all tickets are non-refundable.

“Following a recent review of competition ticket prices, we’ve been able to listen to feedback received from our members and introduce discounts for attendance as a family and over multiple days,” said England Boxing’s Competitions and Events Manager, Ashley Cooke.

“As a result, the update admission pricing will make it a little bit easier to support a boxer in person when coming along with family or friends, or when a person is attending across a competition weekend.

“While an overall increase in admission prices was unavoidable in order to maintain the quality of our delivery – due to the cost-of-living spike and our costs going up significantly as a result – we aim to be as inclusive and affordable as possible to allow our members and communities to continue to interact with our events.”
