Following the recent news of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling in favour of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) regarding the management of the sport, England Boxing continues to support World Boxing in its drive to create an International Federation that can give the sport an Olympic future.

Boxing is not currently scheduled to be part of the Olympic Games after Paris 2024 and it is crucial for all involved parties to work together to ensure the continued growth and development of boxing while upholding the highest standards of governance, integrity, and fairness.

The decision by the CAS underscores the importance of adherence to established governance principles within the sporting world. It also highlights the significance of independent arbitration bodies, including CAS, in resolving disputes and maintaining the integrity of sport.

On April 9th, ASOIF (The Association of Summer Olympic International Federations) also excluded IBA as a member, in accordance with its statutes.
