Successful first Western Counties regional session of 2023

The first Western Counties regional squad of 2023 was held at Blue Flames Boxing Club in Taunton on Saturday 14th January.
The squad comprised of Schools and Juniors boxers in the morning and Youth and Seniors in the afternoon.
In total, there were 88 boxers in attendance, along with 20 coaches and officials, with all sessions included tech, conditioned and open sparring.
Regional Coach Ian Tennant leading said: “It takes a lot of effort and planning to organise a regional squad across such a large geographical area, but when you are privileged to be a part of such a well-attended squad it makes it all worthwhile.
“I would like to thank Rob Scutt of Blue Flames Boxing Club for allowing everyone to utilise the excellent facilities at the gym in the middle of the region.
“Also, a massive thanks to all the coaches and officials who travelled to play their part in the Western Counties coaching team.
“But as always, a massive thank you and well done to all the boxers in attendance for making the sessions and the day a great success.”
