Toyota Parasport Fund open until the end of May
May 13, 2021 | by Matt Halfpenny
Disabled people are being helped back to sport and physical activity as the Toyota Parasport Fund has opened for a second round.
A collaboration between Sport England, Toyota and the British Paralympic Association, this round of funding will see £200,000 on offer via awards of between £1,000 and £5,000.
The fund initially opened in 2019 for a first round and committed £351,000 to boost community disability sport across 93 successful applicants in England.
After a period of closure it’s now open once again, with this round of funding set to close at 5pm on Monday 31 May.
The fund is aimed at helping organisations support disabled people to return to sport and physical activity as and when coronavirus (Covid-19) restrictions permit it and people feel comfortable doing so.
Funding could be spent on, among other things, additional equipment required because of delivering to smaller groups, sanitation stations, training courses or additional coaches and instructors.
The application process is being run through Sport England’s Small Grants portal and more information about eligibility and the full application process can be found on the Toyota Parasport Fund page.
However, if your organisation isn’t already registered as a provider on the Parasport website, this must first be done before applying for funding.
