Update for England Boxing Doctors
May 12, 2024 | by Nabillah Akhtar
With the launch of the Locker edging closer, here is an important update regarding the BCR1 process for England Boxing’s Doctors.
Starting from June 1st, 2024, England Boxing will be transitioning to digital BCR1s (Boxer Competition Registration Form 1). This means that BCR1s can now be conducted online, streamlining the process for both you and the athletes. We understand the importance of efficiency and accuracy in medical documentation, and this digital transition aims to enhance these aspects significantly
To facilitate this switchover smoothly, we will be providing training videos for you to familiarise yourselves with the new online BCR1 process. These videos will offer step-by-step guidance, ensuring that you can seamlessly adapt to the new system. Please keep an eye out for these training resources in your email inbox or on our official website/social media channels.
Additionally, we are pleased to inform you that medical suspensions can now also be added online. This means that you will have the capability to manage medical suspensions digitally, further simplifying the administrative tasks associated with your role. All of this can be conveniently done at ringside using your phone, providing you with flexibility and convenience.
However, we understand that there may be instances where you are conducting medicals at a gym or venue without internet access or 4G connectivity on your phone. In such cases, you can utilize a paper ME1 form (Medical Examination Form 1) and send it to the Regional Registrar or England Boxing headquarters for uploading into the system. We want to ensure that you have the necessary tools and options available to carry out your duties effectively, regardless of the circumstances.
We would also like to remind you that in order to access the new digital BCR1 system and online medical suspension functionality, it is imperative that you are registered on the Vault platform (https://www.englandboxing.org/members/the-vault). If you are not already registered, please ensure that you create an account before May 12th, 2024. After this date, access to the Vault platform will be temporarily closed as we transition to the new system. If you miss this deadline, you will have the opportunity to create an account on our new platform, the Locker, starting from June 1st, 2024. We encourage you to complete your registration as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience during this transition period.
We believe that this conversion to digital BCR1s and online medical suspensions represents a significant advancement in our efforts to modernise and streamline administrative processes within England Boxing. Your cooperation and support in adapting to these changes are greatly appreciated, and we are confident that they will ultimately benefit both you and the athletes we serve.
If you have any questions or require further assistance regarding the transition to digital BCR1s or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our athletes.
