UPDATE FOR OFFICIALS

As we approach the start of the 2025/26 season, there are several key updates we would like to make our officials and members aware of:

Official’s Course Pricing: Following feedback from members, Regional Appointment Secretaries & Official Educators, England Boxing are pleased to announce that we have reduced the Official’s course fee from £75pp to £30pp. Since February 2025, England Boxing has been centrally administrating Officiating courses for the benefit of our members. You can book your place on an upcoming course today via The Locker.

Enhanced DBS for Officials: From January 1st , 2026, ALL officials will be required to have a valid and in-date Enhanced DBS certificate registered on The Locker. This update is a significant step in the right direction to safeguard young people and vulnerable adults in our sport and allows ample time for officials to apply for and secure an enhanced DBS to ensure they can continue on their officiating journey. Selection Process for EB Championships: following recent queries, we would like to remind & notify Officials on the process for selection to EB Championship events:
- A Microsoft Forms link is distributed from the Technical Rules & Officials sub-committee to Regional Appointment Secretaries in the lead-up to each Championship event

Regional Appointment Secretaries then distribute this link to all eligible officials in their region

Eligible Officials fill out their details and availability on the Microsoft Form

The Technical Rules & Officials sub-committee will review all nominations and appoint officials to Championships in accordance with the Official’s Selection Policy.

We would also like to notify Officials that NAC Selections are only being conducted by England Boxing and the Technical Rules & Officials Sub-Committee. Any other links or processes outside of this official route are not recognised or valid for selection at the NAC Championships.
