Back for a fourth and final year!

Following the huge successes of the previous three programmes, we are pleased to announce that we will be taking applications for Cohort 4 of the Women’s Coach Development Programme starting today, Friday 8th March 2024 – International Women’s Day.

A lot has been learned over the last three years and this year the programme has been restructured and improved to better support the needs of the coaches. This will also be the last time the course runs.

So far we have helped support, develop and create coaching opportunities for 34 women who have grown massively in confidence, knowledge and ability. Several are now, through their hard work and self-development, part of the England Performance Pathway.

What the Women’s Coach Development Programme (WCDP) entails

The 12-month project will help to support 12 female coaches (who must have passed their England Boxing Level 1 coaching course as a minimum) in their coaching development.

For the successful candidates, the first induction will be held on Sunday 5th May 2024 at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

An Individual Development Plan will form the conversations and directions of what each coach requires as their key areas for development.

A mentor will be assigned to offer support and guidance for each of the coaches enrolled on the programme.

Practical elements will be delivered via six one-day sessions and a residential, plus an invitation to shadow at an England Performance Pathway Camp and attend the Women’s Aspire sessions.

There will be an individual review on completion of the 12 months to explore further areas for each coach to take ownership and continue their development beyond the programme.

Cost

The cost of the 12-month programme will be £150.
